Here’s a flamenco footwork pattern in the compás of 12.
Use this as practice exercise, or add it to one of your dances.
The second part of the pattern is a remate, so this step would work well to close something in your dance.
Some Notes About the Hands:
1. Try not to move your hand too much during the first part of the step.
A couple of rotations is all you need otherwise it will be distracting.
If this is a struggle, I recommend doing the first part of the step very very slowly while intentionally controlling and slowing down the rotation of the hand.
2. During the second part of the step, the remate, the hands are more accented, following the main accents of the feet.
