Tápame que tengo frío
¿Cómo quieres que te tape?
Cover me, I’m cold
How should I cover you?
You can hear David Lagos sing this about 3 minutes in as Marco Flores dances. ¡Olé!
Wow. It was difficult to decide how to translate tapar in this context. I debated between cover me, shield me, shelter me. Then I asked Emily of Saffron Translations for her thoughts. She thought of blanket me, warm me up, wrap me up, give me warmth. It was hard to choose, but you get the idea. Thank you, Emily for your help!
