I never made a conscious choice to pursue flamenco. I was born in a place [Jerez] and into a family where flamenco was a natural part of life.
— David Lagos

Watch the following video interview with David Lagos & tell me you do not want to join him this Sunday and next to learn all about flamenco from the perspective of this distinguished, well respected, award winning flamenco singer!

David will share the hidden details of flamenco singing and flamenco in general,

“I’ll talk about my personal experiences over the past forty years of singing.

I’d like to pass along the way I’ve lived flamenco to help people understand elements of flamenco that enable them not just to identify the different flamenco styles but to understand the meaning behind the singing, the emotions it has…

Above all what I like to teach is how to distinguish the flamenco sound.”

Enjoy this brief video interview to learn more about one of the foremost flamenco singers of today, David Lagos, winner of the Premio Andlauz del Flamenco, and join us from wherever you are in the world for his online workshop March 13 and 20.

There were many times I was unable to find a traditional song verse that matched my personal feelings about my life, so I wrote my own letras so that what I sang could come from inside of me.
