Class Description:

This class is for you if you love technique drills are interested in dancing with the abanico (fan) and are ready to take your flamenco to the next level.

Flamenco Technique

Polish and enhance your upper body and footwork technique while strengthening your core and arm muscles.

We begin with body technique exercises designed to help you better execute body movements you may be learning in other classes focusing on correct posture and body/arm positioning and turn technique incorporating the abanico.

We then move on to footwork drills with a focus on correct execution and building speed and stamina. We also use this time to learn different patterns and improve rhythm.

Then we’ll put the moves together to form short combinations.

Repetitive movements support dancers of all levels.

We finish with a cool down.

What if I don't have an abanico?
No problem. We have fans both for sale and loan.
